Another successful rescue mission over the weekend ❤️
A few weeks ago, we received a call about two hunting dogs wondering around a village known to be hostile to stray dogs. When we first went out there, we managed to rescue Cosmos, but despite our best efforts, we couldn’t catch the second dog.
We knew he was still out there and we would be going back eventually. We had asked the lady who called us initially to keep feeding him on a set schedule at the same spot and over the weekend, we headed out again.
We took a trap with us just in case, but thankfully we didn’t need it. With a little patience and some tasty food, we were able to gain his trust and bring him to safety.
He is now safely at our shelter in Cyprus isolated from the rest of our dogs while he waits for his vet appointment.

We’ll be sharing more about this handsome boy in the coming days, but for now we’re simply relieved to know that he is finally safe.

Apollo is still waiting ❤️
Just like his sister Amber, Apollo was rescued alongside his mum and siblings and has spent far too long growing up in the shelter.
Apollo is a gentle, sensitive boy who finds people a little overwhelming at first. He isn’t the kind of dog who will run up to greet strangers, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t want love. He simply needs time, patience, and someone willing to let him build trust at his own pace.
Recently, we made the decision to separate Apollo from his mum, Hera, and sister, Amber, to help all three gain confidence and become more independent. It’s a big change for him, but we’re hopeful it will help him continue making progress.
Apollo has so much potential. We know that with the right home, a calm environment, and a patient person by his side, he can finally learn what it feels like to be someone’s beloved dog. ❤️
