Meet Prince — tall, handsome, and absolutely convinced he’s royalty (and honestly, we agree). His mum adored him… until he grew. As he got bigger, bouncier, and messier — you know, like all puppies — she struggled. Eventually, Prince spent most of his days locked out on the balcony, confused and unhappy.
Fortunately, she knew this wasn’t a life for him and reached out for help. That’s how Prince came to us, where he was welcomed with open arms and finally given the chance to be the joyful, silly, affectionate dog he always was. Unfortunately, 4 years later, he is still here. Being overlooked for adoption all these years, and seeing dogs come and go while he continues to spend most of his days alone
Prince is full of life — playful, energetic, and very generous with his hugs and kisses. He loves running, exploring, and turning every walk into an adventure. He can get a bit too bouncy, so a home with small kids wouldn’t be the best match. Cats are a big no (he prefers to be the one and only king of the castle!).
He’d thrive in an active home with a secure yard where he can burn off energy, play fetch to his heart’s content, and then flop on the couch for cuddles.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, goofy companion who’ll keep you smiling every single day — Prince is ready for his happily ever after. ❤️🐾

Don't get a dog if you are not going to Keep and love them for life.
Harkas began life as a loved puppy — but everything changed as he grew. He ended up chained alone in a yard, wearing a prong collar, often left without food or water. His cries went unheard by his owner, but the neighbours noticed. They begged for things to improve, and when nothing changed — even after the owner passed away — they started throwing food over the wall just to keep him alive.
Eventually, they reported his situation, and that’s when 2nd Chance Dogs stepped in. We found a scared, underfed dog who had spent most of his life alone. With time, patience, and gentle handling, Harkas slowly began to trust. Today, he’s discovering what it means to actually be a dog — playful, clever, and full of joy. He’s learning his cues, improving on the lead, and absolutely lives for water play (our very own “land seal”).
Harkas is now ready for a fresh start. He needs an experienced, patient home where he can continue building confidence and finally live the safe, happy life he was denied for so long. If you’re looking for a loyal, goofy companion who just wants someone to believe in him — Harkas is waiting. ❤️🐾

Hans didn’t understand why he and his brother Fritz were suddenly alone at a university campus, searching for scraps and sleeping wherever they felt safe. Students tried to help, but whenever someone attempted to catch them, fear took over. They wanted to trust… but didn’t know how.
When we stepped in, it took days of patience and gentle attempts before Fritz was finally rescued — and soon after, Hans found the courage to let himself be saved too.
Hans is still cautious with strangers, but once he feels safe, his whole personality shines. He’s playful, sweet, energetic He just needs of a home that understands he needs time, patience, and a gentle heart. A place where he can run, play, learn, and finally relax.
Hans has come such a long way from the frightened pup on campus… now he just needs someone to give him the chance he’s been waiting for. 💛🐾
