Harriet′s Story

I am Harriet and my story is quite sad,I was born by an abandoned mum out in the fields.Me and my brother Henry were seen alone walking in the fields by the farmers and they contacted the municipality to pick us up and then they took us at the filthy pound of that area, away from my mum who was left behind.I have been there with Henry for a period of time and we were on the death row.You see me and my brother Henry where crossed breeds and bigger sized puppies,not fluffy little cute balls to be rescued,even by volunteers to rehome us then.We were lucky because a lady came for us and we have been with her since then and after at 2ndchancedogs. We grew up to be good dogs, with love, care and attention around but still without a home to belong to.

Character & Temperament

I am a very clever dog and I have learned to work for my treats and food that I especially love so much.I can do a sit, down, touch and walk nicely on a loose lead. I love cuddles and I will lick kiss the people who will make a bond with me.I am shy at first time but thats because I want to feel safe and gain confidence but its coming, in no time. I love to play with my kong and toys, I especially love the chase game with Henry with whom I feel more confident as we have been together for some time you see.I am very good with other dogs as long as I am introduced correctly .

Ideal Home for Harriet

I can learn to live in a home with people who will love me and who will have the patience to give me time to settle into the new enviroment and the new life,with my own space to rest and soon enough a sofa to spend love time with my family. I would like a home with a garden to spend some time there as I love the outside with all the new scent and air and the sunny days sunbathing.

Trainers Evaluation

Harriet has been been with Henry since they were rescued and has learned to gain her confidence from her brother.Working with Harriet recently, have noticed that she is very easy to work with,she is very clever and she can learn very fast new things.Once she creates the bond she can be very affectionate and loving.She just needs some time and patience into all new.
