Cambi′s Story

I had been wandering the streets of a small village for quite some time, searching for food, water, and a safe place to rest. One day, a kind lady saw me rummaging through some garbage and wanted to help, but I was scared and kept my distance. She didn’t give up, though—she spent weeks trying to gain my trust.

Eventually, she managed to catch me with the help of 2nd Chance Dogs, and they rushed me to the vet. That’s when they discovered I was just a few weeks away from giving birth.

I was brought to a foster home—a quiet, safe place where I could finally relax and rest my tired body. And then, the big day came. I gave birth to two puppies. One of them, sadly, was stillborn. But the other—a strong, curious little girl—survived. Her name is Amyrlin, and she’s thriving.

Now, I spend my days caring for her in comfort and peace, knowing that our journey might have started in the streets, but it's leading somewhere full of hope and love.

Character & Temperament

I’m still learning how to feel completely safe, especially now that I have my baby girl, Amyrlin, to protect. So yes, I can be a little shy and nervous at first—but I promise, I have a gentle heart.

Once I know I’m in a calm, kind space, I start to come out of my shell. And if you hand me a squeaky toy? Oh, I light up! I absolutely love playing with squeaky toys—they make me feel like a puppy again.

I’m soft, quiet, and careful, but I’m also full of love just waiting to be shared. Just give me a little time, and I’ll show you the playful, sweet girl I truly am.

Ideal Home for Cambi

My ideal home is calm and loving. A place where I can feel safe and take my time to trust again. I’d love a family who understands that I might be shy or nervous at first but who will be patient with me.

I want a soft bed, plenty of toys (especially squeaky ones!), and lots of gentle hugs. It would be wonderful to have some quiet spaces where I can rest and a yard or park nearby where I can play and explore when I feel brave.

Most of all, I want to be with people who will love me for who I am and help me grow more confident every day.
