Emanuela′s Story

My name is Emanuela, and for almost four years, all I knew was life inside a cage.

I was used by a backyard breeder to produce litter after litter of puppies. My babies were taken away, and then it would start all over again. No walks, no comfort, no love—just a cage.

For some time, kind people tried to convince my owner to surrender me, and finally, he agreed.

When I arrived, I was severely overweight, covered in ticks, suffering from skin problems, matted, and filthy. Years of neglect had taken their toll.

But my story doesn't end there.

For the first time in my life, I am safe. I am learning what kindness feels like and what it means to be loved for who I am—not for the puppies I can produce.

At almost four years old, my new life is finally beginning.

Character & Temperament

People are still a bit of a mystery to me. My previous owner made sure I had food and water, but I never really learned what it was like to be loved, cuddled, or included as part of a family. Because of that, I can be a little cautious when I meet new humans. I like to take my time and make sure you're kind before I fully trust you.

The funny thing is, I'm actually very good on a lead! I enjoy going for walks and exploring the world beside someone. Other dogs make me feel comfortable too, and I get along well with them.

I'm looking for a patient person who will let me learn that people can be gentle and loving. I may not rush into your arms on the first day, but if you give me time, I'll show you just how much love I have to give.

Ideal Home for Emanuela

My ideal home would be a calm and patient one, with people who understand that trust takes time. I don't need much—just kindness, gentle guidance, and the chance to settle in at my own pace.

A home with another friendly, confident dog would be wonderful, as other dogs help me feel safe and show me that the world isn't so scary. I enjoy my walks and would love a family that will include me in their daily adventures.

Most of all, I'm looking for someone who won't expect too much from me too soon. If you give me time, space, and love, I'll slowly learn that humans can be trusted and that I finally belong.
