After careful thought and deliberation of our duty in the face of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, and in what we believe is in the best interest of our guests, employees, volunteers, home checkers and friends.
The 2ND CHANCE DOGS trustees have unanimously decided effective as of March 16th until further notice that the 2ND CHANCE DOGS centre will be closed to all visitors, volunteers, potential adopters and guests, ONLY staff will be allowed on premises. We will continue to promote dogs for adoption, interested parties may apply to adopt one of our dogs by filling in our adoption application form, however seeing that we have to do a home visit prior to approving any adopter it would be irresponsible to place anyone in a situation where by he/her may be put in harm’s way or may unknowingly spread the virus to others through this process, therefore we will be suspending adoptions starting the morning of Monday, March 16, until further notice
Please if you are interested in one of our dogs, do proceed with applying to adopt a dog by filling in our adoption application form and we will communicate with you via phone, email or social media and will schedule a home visit as soon as we can once again commence home visits safely.
For those adopters that have already had a home visit and have been approved to adopt a dog, we will do our best to make sure your new best friend will come to you as soon as possible.
At this difficult time that we are all facing, for us at 2ND CHANCE DOGS it is even more difficult seeing that we are 100% relying on the generosity of our followers to be able to continue to carry on our work, now more than ever we are in need of your help with donations. Please share our fundraisers and dog sponsorships.
To our potential adopters and wonderful volunteers who some of you surely will want to visit your favourite dog at the centre, we sincerely apologize but have decided on these measures purely for the wellbeing and health of all of our volunteers and staff. We look forward to welcoming you back to the 2ND CHANCE DOGS centre soon.
