Raul′s Story

For as long as I can remember, I lived with my family on the covered veranda of our home. It was my little kingdom. I watched the world go by, listened to familiar voices, and wagged my tail every time someone came home. I loved my people with my whole heart because they were all I had ever known.

Then one day, everything changed.We moved to a new house. At first, I thought it would just be another adventure. But slowly, things became different. My family worked long hours, and life became busy. The days got quieter. The walks stopped happening. Playtime disappeared. Sometimes I would wait and wait, hoping someone would open my cage and take me out to explore, to sniff the air, or simply to spend time with me.

I found myself spending more and more time alone, stuck inside my cage for days at a time. I wasn’t angry at my family. I know they cared about me. And that’s when they made the responsible choice. They called 2nd Chance Dogs for help.

Because deep down, they knew I deserved more.

So now, I’m waiting again.
But this time, I’m waiting for a new beginning.

Character & Temperament

I’m a sweet boy who truly loves people and just wants to be close to them. Spending time together is my favorite thing in the world.I’m also a big fan of food… and especially tasty treats. A yummy snack will always make my tail wag a little faster!

When it comes to walks, I can be a little strong on the leash at first because I get so excited to explore everything around me. I didn’t get to go on walks very often before, so every smell and every corner feels like a new adventure waiting to happen. But with regular walks, patience, and guidance, this is something that can absolutely be improved.

I’m great with kids, friendly with other dogs, and ready to become someone’s loyal best friend.

Ideal Home for Raul

My ideal home is one where I’ll get the time, attention, and companionship I’ve been missing. I would love regular walks to help me explore the world, a cozy place to rest, and people who will include me in their daily life. More than anything, I need a family that will give me love, patience, and never leave me feeling alone again.
