Arlo′s Story

I was brought into a home, but the family was already facing very difficult circumstances, with a terminally ill and bedridden partner to care for. As a young puppy, I needed time, stability, and attention that simply wasn’t possible. Through no fault of my own, I was given up and came to 2nd Chance Dogs. Now I’m waiting for a family who can give me the safe, loving forever home every puppy deserves.

Character & Temperament

Full of energy
I don’t just walk… I bounce. I love running, chasing, exploring, sniffing absolutely EVERYTHING. The world is very exciting and I plan to investigate it all.

Clever (sometimes too clever!)
I learn fast. Show me once, and I’ll probably get it. But if you’re inconsistent? I’ll notice that too , I need guidance, structure, and fun training sessions to keep my busy brain happy.

Super people-oriented
I adore my humans. I don’t like being left out of the action. I want to be where you are — helping, watching, cuddling, or “assisting” in whatever you’re doing.

A natural explorer
My nose is powerful and my instincts are strong. I was bred to work closely with people in the field, so I love activity, teamwork, and having a job — even if that “job” is learning tricks or playing fetch.

Affectionate but not lazy
Yes, I love cuddles… after I’ve burned off my zoomies! I’m not a couch potato puppy. I thrive in active homes that enjoy walks, games, and mental stimulation.

Friendly and social
I get along well with other dogs and I’m typically gentle, but I can be enthusiastic !

My people have time for me
I’m still a baby, and I need guidance, patience, and love. I want a family who will teach me, play with me, and help me grow into the best version of myself.

I can stay active and explore
I have energy and curiosity, and I’m happiest when I can go on walks, discover new smells, and use my brain. Adventures don’t have to be big — even simple daily walks and playtime mean everything to me.

I’m treated as a family member
I don’t want to be left alone for long hours. I feel safest when I’m close to my humans, sharing life together.

I have patience and understanding
I’m still learning. I might make mistakes, chew things I shouldn’t, or get a little too excited. I need kind people who will teach me gently and never give up on me.

There is love, stability, and commitment
More than anything, I need a forever home. One where I will be safe, wanted, and never have to wonder where I belong again.
