I’m Zina. Life wasn’t always kind to me. For a long time, I roamed the streets of a rural area, trying to survive. Around my neck was a short rope, tight and cruel, cutting into my skin. It hurt, and it reminded me every day that I had no one to care for me.
One day, I managed to find my way into a kind lady’s garden. She didn’t shout at me or chase me away. She saw my pain, my tired eyes, and she acted. She took me to the vets, stayed by my side, and helped me heal. For the first time, I felt safety and kindness.
She tried to find me a home, but I was a hunting dog, and nobody wanted me. I didn’t understand why. All I wanted was love and a place to belong.
When she couldn’t find the right home for me, she brought me to 2nd Chance Dogs. Here, I am safe. Here, I am learning to trust again. My past was painful, but now… now there’s hope.
