Vera′s Story

My name is Vera. For as long as I can remember, I was used as a breeding machine by a hunter. When I could no longer produce puppies, he discarded me. That’s when my rescuer found me — but since they already had too many animals to care for, I was taken in by 2nd Chance Dogs.

Character & Temperament

I’m a very sweet and affectionate little dog who gets along wonderfully with other dogs. I walk nicely on the lead, and when I feel unsure about my surroundings, a little reassurance helps me regain my confidence and makes me eager to explore.

Ideal Home for Vera

My ideal home would be a calm and loving place where I can finally feel safe and cared for. I’d love a family who will be patient and gentle with me, giving me time to build my confidence and show them how sweet I truly am. Having another friendly dog around would make me really happy — someone to keep me company and show me that the world isn’t so scary. Most of all, I dream of humans who will give me cuddles, kind words, and a cozy spot to rest my head, knowing I’ll never be thrown away again.
