Reggy′s Story

In April 2024, I was rescued from a vet clinic after my previous owner wanted to put me down when I tested positive for leishmania. Thankfully, a kind rescuer saved me and took me to a shelter. Unfortunately, the shelter had to close down, leaving us without a home. That’s when 2nd Chance Dogs stepped in, opening their hearts and taking me and my friends under their care.

Character & Temperament

I am a sweet, friendly, and playful boy who loves other dogs! I have a gentle and affectionate nature, and I really enjoy attention and love from people. I’m always up for fun—whether it’s playing with toys, going on adventures, or simply soaking up cuddles. I’m a happy, easygoing pup who enjoys the simple joys in life.

With strangers, I can be a little shy at first, but once I get to know you and feel comfortable, I show my true loving and affectionate personality.

I am also Leishmania positive, but overall I am healthy and enjoying life. I need to take my daily medication and have yearly check-ups to make sure everything stays stable and well. This doesn’t stop me from living a long, happy, and active life. I am looking for a family who will see beyond my diagnosis and discover the wonderful companion I truly am!

My ideal home is one where I get lots of love, playtime, and attention! I’m friendly, affectionate, and great with dogs. I’d love a family that enjoys spending time with me, whether it’s playing, cuddling, or going on little adventures. I’m an easy, happy boy who just needs a simple pill twice a day—it doesn’t change how much fun I have! If you’re looking for a loving and playful best friend, I’d love to be part of your family!
