Charls′s Story

I’m Charls. I spent over six months surviving on the streets of Paphos, relying on my intelligence and caution to get by. It took a long time before I was finally caught and brought to a shelter in August 2023. When that shelter closed, 2nd Chance Dogs took over, providing me with the care and security

Character & Temperament

I get along well with other dogs, though I can be uneasy around larger males. I have a strong instinct to dig and explore, so a secure garden is important for me. I’m a sensitive dog and can be wary of strangers, needing time to feel comfortable. Sudden movements or loud noises can startle me, and I can become excitable around people I know.

Ideal Home for Charls

My ideal home would be calm and patient, with people who understand that I need time to feel safe and comfortable. I would do best with a secure garden where I can explore without worry. I prefer quieter environments and need someone who can handle my sensitivity to sudden movements or loud noises. I can get along with other dogs, but I feel safer with smaller or calm ones.Most of all, I need a home where I can build trust slowly and know I’m safe.
