I was part of a family since I was a puppy. I grew up around children, and for a long time I tried my best to cope. But my boundaries weren’t always respected. My food was taken away, my toys were grabbed, and I was handled in ways that made me uncomfortable.
I tried to communicate the only way I know how. I gave warnings. I asked for space. Those signals were ignored, and the pressure didn’t stop. I was pushed past my limits — and when that happened, I reacted.
After that, I was left at the vet and labeled as “dangerous.”
I’m not a bad dog. I’m a dog who needed to be listened to.
