I was given to a family as a gift, but the children never really paid attention to me. I lived in the back garden, sleeping in a wooden box they called a house.

Later, they brought a male dog to keep me company — and that’s when everything changed.

Every time my body went into heat, I had puppies. Again and again.  At first, they gave the puppies away. Then they started keeping some.

That’s how my daughters stayed with me.

Winky, my first girl — playful and full of life.
Waffle, my second — just a tiny 4-month-old baby.

But the garden became too full. Too many of us, not enough care. We were never vaccinated, never protected, never given the basics we needed.I was exhausted, and I was scared my daughters would live the same life.

Then one day, everything changed.

People from 2nd Chance Dogs came. They saw us — really saw us — and stepped in. They took all of us girls away to safety.

For the first time, I felt relief.

My daughters won’t go through what I did.
They’ll grow up safe, loved, and cared for.

And me… I can finally rest.

My name is Wyxie.
And now, we have a second chance.
