Lexie′s Story

On a scorching July evening, my journey with 2nd Chance took a turn. Hungry, thirsty, and covered in relentless ticks, I followed a kind volunteer home while she walked her dogs. She offered me food and water, attempting to catch me, but fear drove me away. Undeterred, she tirelessly searched for me for days until, unexpectedly, I reappeared.

This compassionate soul tracked me to my hiding spot under an old container. Daily feedings slowly gained my trust, allowing her to take me to the vets. Severe anemia was revealed in my blood tests, leading to a few days of recovery at the clinic. Once back on my paws, they brought me to the 2nd Chance Dogs center, where I now wait for someone to choose me as the newest member of their family.

Character & Temperament

I'm an incredibly sweet and playful companion. Once I warm up to you, my tail becomes a perpetual happiness indicator, and I'll be your shadow, following you everywhere. I've already struck up a friendship with Oasis, overcoming his shyness.
