Barry′s Story

I’m Barry, a Papillon cross. Small, with big ears that stick up like little flags.You’d think it’d be hard to miss me. But on the streets, even small dogs can go invisible.Once, I had a home. I thought I was loved—but one day, my person opened the door.At first, I thought it was just another walk.But then he didn’t follow me. He closed the door , my person never let me back in. I wandered the streets, hungry and confused, waiting for someone to notice me.

Then 2nd Chance Dogs found me. They didn’t walk past—they reached out, wrapped me in kindness, and gave me safety.

Now I’m learning to wag my tail again, dreaming of the family who will never give up on me.

Character & Temperament

I love people—especially kids, they’re my favorite. I get along with some dogs, though I prefer when they’re friendly and gentle. Walks are the best part of my day, with my ears bouncing and nose busy sniffing the world. And treats? Oh, I absolutely love treats—they make my tail wag faster than anything!

Ideal Home for Barry

My ideal home would be with people who love me as part of their family. I’d be happiest with someone who enjoys walks and playtime, and who doesn’t mind giving me plenty of cuddles. I especially adore kids, so a family with children would be wonderful for me. I’d like a calm and loving environment where I feel safe, with treats (of course!) and a warm place to sleep.
