Gracie′s Story

Hello, I'm Gracie.

I was rescued as a little pup,and I spent four long years at the 2nd Chance Dogs centre, waiting patiently for the day someone would choose me. On the 8th of November, I finally boarded my freedom flight,the start of what I thought would be my happily ever after.But after just two weeks in my new home, everything changed. I struggled with the people who weren’t around much during the day, and because they were gone so often, I never got the chance to bond with them. The unfamiliar visitors coming and going made me feel even more unsure and anxious.

The family decided it wasn’t working out… and I was returned.
Now I’m back in kennels—scared, confused, lonely, and waiting once again for the home where I’ll finally feel safe and loved.

Character & Temperament

I’m a very smart girl, and all I want is to make my people proud. I absolutely love my training sessions—they’re fun, and I learn quickly. I’m also a pro at walking nicely on a loose lead. I’m a loving, happy dog with a constantly wagging tail.

But I do have my boundaries. I don’t like it when other dogs get right in my face, and I will react . I also find children a bit frightening because they can be unpredictable, so I tend to run away from them.

Ideal Home for Gracie

I’d love a home where I can receive lots of love, attention, and daily interaction. It would be perfect if my new family enjoys training—not because I need it, but because I’m so smart and truly love learning. I’ll also need plenty of time to settle into my new home, with no visitors at first and a calm, stable routine so I can feel safe and confident.
