Prince′s Story

I started life as a tiny puppy, only 2 months old and weighing just over 2kg. My mum loved me so much. I was small, adorable, and she thought I would stay that way forever.

But puppies grow up… and so did I. I became a tall, handsome young dog with lots of energy. I started playing more, exploring, and yes, sometimes making a little mess — just like human children do when they grow up.

As I got bigger, things changed. My mum struggled with my size and my energy, and I started spending most of my days alone, locked out on the balcony. I wasn't happy, and eventually she decided she didn't want to deal with me anymore and called 2nd Chance Dogs.

Thankfully, they welcomed me with open arms and gave me a safe place to stay.

I came to the shelter in 2021, and I have been here ever since.

The shelter became my safe place, but I still dream of having a home of my own — a family who will love me for who I am, understand my needs, and give me the life I was always meant to have.

Character & Temperament

As I’m getting older, I have slowed down a little, but I still have plenty of energy and love going for walks, playing, and exploring my surroundings. I enjoy affection and being close to the people I trust.

Because I can still get excited during playtime, I would do best with someone who understands my personality and can help me enjoy my energy in a positive way. I may be a little too enthusiastic for very young children, as I can sometimes forget my size when I’m excited.

I would prefer to be the only dog in the home, where I can have my own space and the attention I enjoy.

I would prefer to be the only dog in the home, where I can have my own space and the attention I enjoy. I’m also not a fan of sharing my home with cats.

I’m looking for a family who will appreciate me for who I am and give me the love, patience, and companionship I deserve.
