Irena′s Story

My name is Irena and this is my story.

I found myself wandering on a busy central road during the scorching heat of summer, feeling thirsty, hungry, and lost. A compassionate young tourist couple spotted me, concerned about the danger of me being run over by cars. They approached me and easily gained my trust. Overjoyed, they took me to a vet to check for a microchip and attempted to find my guardian if I had one. Despite informing the police, local authorities, and sharing my story on social media, no one came forward to claim me. Consequently, they kept me with them until I was brought to 2nd Chance Dogs.

Character & Temperament

I am not only friendly, agile, and active but also excellent on the leash.

While I thoroughly enjoy meeting new dogs, I might get a bit too excited at times, requiring a little patience as I acclimate to my new furry friends.

Human company is a delight, especially when it comes with attention, cuddles, and, of course, treats. I am eager to perform and showcase my skills to bring joy to those around me.

Ideal Home for Irena

The ideal home for me would be with an active and patient family who can continue my training.

A family that understands my excitement when meeting new dogs and is willing to give me the time and space to get used to them.

A loving and understanding environment with no other pets would be perfect, along with a secure, high-fenced yard for me to play and explore safely.
