Gerald′s Story

My name is Gerald of Rivia from the renowned Netflix series 'The Witcher'.

My story is a typical case of many hunting dogs in Cyprus. Like most of these dogs, I was probably abandoned because I wasn't performing well enough at hunting.

I was wandering around a deserted area but later traveled closer to populated areas to try my luck. Luckily, a lady saw me and started to feed me every day so I stayed in that proximity. She noticed that I wasn't doing so well and that I was exhausted, thin and looked sick. She reached out to 2nd Chance Dogs for help. The organisation responded at was and took me to the vet where I had all medical checks and bloodwork done. It was revealed that indeed I was extremely emaciated and malnourished. I also had some gastrointestinal issues which resulted in me taking a special diet and supplements until I regain my strength. Day by day I get better and healthier, I put on more weight and I look forward to finding a forever home.

Character & Temperament

They say that I am very handsome, calm and kind. I am also very friendly when I get to know someone. I learn a lot of things daily, I am smart and with a little encouragement, I can do great things. I am also friendly and playful towards other dogs.

Ideal Home for Gerald

I need a family that will give me back all that I have missed in life such as love, attention and care as I was never fortunate enough to have the warmth of a home. I can easily fit in any family with other dogs to learn from. I dream of a life full of training, games and a well-deserved warm bed to sleep in.
