Nemo′s Story

Hi im Nemo! My story is long and complicated. I was found by a lady and taken to the vets to check for a microchip. As expected, I did not have one. So the lady went to the police and registered me as a missing dog so that my owner can find me. She took all legal steps necessary for me to return home. One day at the supermarket a random guy approached her and told her that I was his dog. She asked him to go to the police so they could arrange a meeting for him and myself to be reunited. To be honest, I didn’t like the smell of that guy. I tried to tell the police but they wouldn’t listen. I remember the lady asked the policemen to conduct an investigation to make sure that he was my rightful owner. However, I am very sad to report that the police did not care at all and did not take any steps whatsoever to identify him as my owner. They just gave me away. With my eyes, I tried to tell the lady who found me that he was not my owner. I was taken to his house and thrown in a small cage. I spoke with the other doggies there and found out that this man, this horrible horrible man picks up dogs and sells them to other people so he can make money. I just sat there in that small cage feeling as if the whole world abandoned me there. I was so sad. The same night I saw the lady who initially saved me, passing through the window. I was surprised and happy to see her. She knocked on the door and told the man to immediately release me. He wouldn’t do so. After a looong conversation, she ended up paying him to get me so I could have a proper life with a loving family. She then contacted the 2ndchancedogs team and asked if they could take me in. After they heard my story they took me in and after they took me to the vet, a volunteer there offered to foster me for some time. I am available for adoption and would love to join a loving family.
