Lynda has a very special story to tell as she was rescued TWICE…
We found her in February 2018 but we only found out where she came from 7 months later.
In March 2017, a girl from Cyprus who was studying in Corfu (Greece), spotted a stray skinny dog in the town’s square. The dog was friendly with the other dogs but she was very scared of people. The girl decided to take Lynda with her as she could tell that this little dog had been through a lot. When she took her home, Lynda went straight to her bed and slept for 3 days continuously as she was so weak and exhausted.
In the following months Lynda was loved and she was living the college life with her young rescuer. But the summer came and the girl had to return to Cyprus. She couldn’t abandon Lynda to the streets so she took her back with her.
Lynda had the best summer of her life with her new family and when the girl returned back to Corfu on September, Lynda stayed in Cyprus with her parents. The parents were working long hours and Lynda was at home all alone. She was sad and she was missing humans’ and other dogs’ company, so when a “friend” asked the family to take her on, they thought it was the best for her. Unfortunately the “friend” didn’t have the best intentions as, according to what the family believes, she was then given to a hunter although the “friend” kept lying that Lynda was fine and happy with him. Well… she wasn’t… and for the records, Lynda was found by us in a hunting area….
Lynda is now safe in our centre. She is a happy, active and playful girl who adores humans, loves the other dogs and enjoys a good run whenever she has the chance.
Her estimated date of birth is on 23/10/15. She is a Bruno jura hound and she is 16 kg and 60cmHx78cmL.
Please consider adopting our little foreigner, Lynda.
She comes from Corfu and she has a lot to narrate….
