Ela′s Story

Beautiful, timid ELA…. Ela, with two other doggies (Teddy & Snoopy) have been rescued on 11/2/16 from Lea farm, commonly referred to as the Hell farm. We don't know how long they were in there but they were very sad and unhappy when their rescuer met them. Ela was cowering in the corner and would not move. She had to be carried to the car and was shaking…. She crawled to the back of the boot area and wouldn't look at any people. She had bald patches when she was taken from the pound and her rescuer was very worried that she would have Leishmania or Erlichia. Thankfully, her tests came back clear and her lack of fur, most probably, was down to stress and poor diet. When we made some space in our centre, Ela moved in with us and she is now available for adoption through 2nd Chance 4 Life Org. package. Ela is much happier now that she is out of the hell-pound but she still needs lots of reassurance in order to feel safe and loved. She is a shy girl and will need to be in a home that understands what she has been through and give her time to adjust. She gets on well with the other dogs and plays with them. She also passed her cat-test. She needs time to trust people she doesn’t know and she has zero aggression. Ella is approx.She is Jura hound cross. To summarize, Ela is a quiet little girl who is coming back to normal, step by step, after being petrified in the hell farm. Please consider to offer her a loving home!
